Obituary Redesign

strategy & design

Continuing the memories

overview

Obituaries garner a high volume of traffic to our site and to honor those who have passed and give loved ones left behind a space to grieve, our obituary page template was enhanced to increase engagement. An obituary that was created for testing purposes can be viewed here and is not of an actual person.

Designs at a glance

support resource links

A small but mighty UI change was the redesign of our support calls-to-action. These components are used throughout DignityMemorial.com and can be personalized for any purpose.

memories & condolences

The biggest source of engagement is the memories and condolences section. Here, families and friends can view and upload photos and share stories or kind moments.

We know words are not easy for all when it comes to grief, and for those who want to show a token of condolence but are unsure how, we feature a button to symbolically light a candle in support.

memories feed

The memory card section displays a feed of photos and messages submitted by the family and the public. Because we are a business after all, a CTA to send flowers through our floral partner is immersed into the experience.

user engagEment

There is no end to engagement, as visitors are able to comment on memories others have posted.

Immeasurable success

The impact this project has made goes beyond metrics. Below are real instances of the different ways people are engaging with the site.
